Special THANKS to ALL who made 2011 Rodeo Bible Camp a Great Success!  We appreciate everyone that had a part in it.  Especially we thank GOD!!!  Without HIM we could do nothing!

Wagon Wheel Ministries, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to the wholesome development and activities for children and families is pleased to announce that the '2011 Rodeo Bible Camp' was a GREAT SUCCESS this year!!  This camp is held annually at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe, LA offering an opportunity for children who might otherwise never have a chance to learn riding and techniques.  This educational and motivational camp is conducted in a family-oriented manner, and supports and nurtures youth from all walks of life.

 As a non-profit organization, the ongoing success of Rodeo Bible Camp is dependent upon the help and support of our in-kind sponsors, donations, and volunteers.  Special thanks go out to all who had a part in making this such a successful camp this year.  God will surely bless you in a special way for sponsoring and helping with this event for these 126 children to be able to attend.  The camp was held on July 24 - 27.  The children who attended ranged in ages from 8 to 18 and were from many surrounding states such as AR, MS, and TX, as well as LA.

  The goal of the 26 Team Leaders, 25 event instructors, and numerous volunteers was to minister to the children to help them know and grow closer to Christ while learning the sport of Rodeo.  The real success of the camp is revealed through the 30 children and 3 adults that were baptized and 7 others whose parents chose for them to be baptized at their home church along with 23 that came to reconfirm their faith.  Many others came & prayed with us.  The night of the Rodeo there were 14 people come to give their life to Jesus.  Praise God for providing a way for these children to come to camp!

 This year we added a special "Ministry Team" to our camp which consisted of pastors & others.   It proved to be a great success as they counseled individually with each child that came down & others with problems that reached out for guidance and support or just needed to talk to someone in addition to their team leader.  Wagon Wheel Ministries does not stop when camp is over as we will follow up with our children & they are encouraged to contact us at any time that we may be of assistance to them.

 The camp's daily schedule consisted of three delicious, nutritious meals, overnight lodging, morning and afternoon clinics of the event the child chose to participate in, three devotional times with the evening fellowship services opened to the public to attend and followed by refreshments.  Our devotional services were led by Bro. Jack Daniels.

 Each child was assigned to a Team Leader, who was their camp "mother" or "father", for the entire camp time to give them guidance and help them in any way needed.  Team Leaders also helped with the baptism of the child in their group, along with their parents, and Bro. Darrell Seals on Wednesday afternoon, which was an exciting and rewarding experience to be able to participate in. We also had one Baptism during the rodeo.  No one was left out that wanted to be baptized during camp.

On the last night of camp the students were able to show what they had learned by participating in a ?Rodeo' with Buckles given to the 1^st place winners in each event.  The winners are determined by the scores they receive from their Team Leaders, Instructors, and their Rodeo score.  This is to insure that a true winner receives the buckle, not just one that can ride their horse the best.  We are here to teach much, much more than horsemanship.  Congratulations go out to the winners of each events along with the recipients of the "Walk- the -Talk Awards.  Theses awards are given to the Outstanding Campers & Adult voted on by the campers to represent them for ?Walking the Talk' as being taught during the week of Rodeo Bible Camp.
